No I didn’t miss your point at all, I understood it perfectly. However I’m not just thinking about the few things you do and consider more things, making your valid point rather insignificant.

My first real test with the 70-300mm lens with it zoomed all of the way in. I was in Southsea at the time and decided to test it out a bit. Feel free to use some of these if you need a stock image of the moon, but I’m sure you can find better quality.

So yeah…
Apparently nearly everything in my three year relationship was a lie.
I wasn’t trusted, respected, given any real option, expected to know when she was upset when she’s lying or misleading through text.
Everything I did for her was a waste, everything I was willing to do entirely ignored. I should of treated “I don’t like something, but ok” as “dont even think about doing that thing I don’t even agree with”.
That ‘I’ dumped her, when I was talking to her about options so she can be happy when I lost my internet so she wasn’t waiting on me, when she agreed so quickly with the recommendation that I didn’t even get to talk about anything else and it was just ‘assumed’ we split.
She made me happy, I don’t care what she says about how much we ended up fighting. She made me happy, gave my life purpose. I just wish she trusted me, respected me and would of just been more honest about how she felt about things and how she felt in general. ;-;
I loved her … I still love her, but it hurts a whole lot more.
I really am hopeless and worthless.

Sign Language BAN imposed on 12 years old deaf girl →
I love how the school threatened to suspend the girl while refusing to address the audist bullies who bullied her and other girls for using American Sign Language.

School officials have threatened a hearing-impaired girl with suspension if she uses sign language to talk to her friends on the school bus, the girl’s parents say.
Danica Lesko and her parents say sign language is the only way to for the 12-year-old to communicate, especially while riding to school on a noisy bus.
But officials at Stonybrook School — which is not a school for the hearing-impaired — and district officials in Branchburg, N.J., apparently believe signing is a safety hazard. They have sent a letter to the Lesko family ordering Danica to stop using sign language on the school bus or risk a three-day suspension.
The March 30 letter from her principal that said Danica was “doing sign language after being told it wasn’t allowed on the bus.”
The Leskos may file a lawsuit over the sign language ban, claiming officials are violating Danica’s civil rights and violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“She has a hearing problem, and now she’s being punished for using sign language,” Mary Ann Lesko, Danica’s mother, told The Star-Ledger of Newark. “It’s absurd.”
Danica’s parents told the paper that other students who rode to school with their daughter made fun of her, and refused to stay in their seats as they teased other girls who were using sign language. They said school officials are singling out Danica and not addressing those who should really be reprimanded.
Schools Officials: Safety First
In a statement released through the school district’s attorney, David Rubin, the Branchburg Board of Education refused to discuss the details of Danica’s case, saying only that its version of events differs from the parents’ version.
However, the board insisted it has not violated anyone’s rights and is only trying to protect other students who must ride on the school bus.
“The Board is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to all students with disabilities, and is satisfied that there has been no violation of that policy in this case,” officials said in the statement. “The Board is also committed to assuring the safety of all students who travel on District buses, and will continue to take appropriate steps to accomplish that goal.”
One deaf-rights advocate said Danica’s parents have a strong basis for a lawsuit because sign language could be a considered a foreign language, and school officials could be violating the girl’s First Amendment right to communicate.
“Why should there be a ban?” asked Charlotte Karras, outreach coordinator for the Edison, N.J.-based Alliance for Disabled in Action. “It’s a violation of her communication rights. She’s said it’s the only way she can communicate with her friends … It’s [the ban] against the ADA and violates the First Amendment and her family can file a discrimination suit citing the Americans With Disabilities Act.”
Karras said her organization would be willing to help the Leskos with any legal action.
Danica’s parents say she began losing her hearing last November, when a classmate allegedly shot a bottle rocket near her ear. They have already sued the Branchburg School District over that incident.

Some ice designs
Could some people help me out with ice themed outfit designs?
I’m hoping for a variety from robes, suits and casual all the way to outfits suitable for a god of ice/frost/winter and such or just the casual deities or parasitical aliens that want to be worshipped as gods. You get where I’m going.
Anyway although I want some to be used for Marie and the ice themed character I wanted to make, my main reason for this is for myself as I would like something on the frosty side to wear.
Why? Well I love ice and of course… ALL MY CLOTHES ARE BLACK WITH A FEW RED ONES IN THE MIX. Seriously, the most colour you’ll see me wearing is a red top, a black top with a flaming dragon and red highlights or a silver short sleeved shirt.

OH BUT PETA GETS A WHOLE BUNCH OF SHIT FOR USING NAKED PEOPLE AS ADVERTISING…. whatever.
…Because PETA’s advertising objectifies, not empowers. The two aren’t comparable; this campaign’s thing is black bodies by black Americans for black issues, they aren’t taking naked women and making a very literal image of dehumanization with photoshoots comparing them to nonhuman animals. Their models are props; the models here making statements that may very well come from their own human experience. Their nakedness is part of the statement; PETA’s scantily clad or nude models are that way almost purely for the sake of shock/sexualization value.

However, I don’t agree with “racism is mental illness” because statements like this contribute to the stigmatization of actual mental illnesses (and the people who have them). By saying racism is a mental illness, we are saying that racism is neurological and/or chemical, rather than something to be unlearned. You can’t unlearn a mental illness (although you may be able to treat it, if you choose and if there are treatments for the particular mental illness). Racism is culturally transmitted; mental illnesses are not (although their diagnosis and classification as mental illness is culture-bound). Racism and mental health are not parallels.
Also, I would really appreciate seeing more diversity in body types. With the exception of the child at the very end, all of the people in these photos are muscular and/or thin. I wonder if photographing people who have conventionally attractive/desirable body types is intentional on the part of the photographer to make the messages printed on the bodies more palatable or more acceptable to (white?) viewers.
I think this fits with both my Questioning Society and Amazing World tags.
